Executive Board

Dipl.-Kfm. Steffen Haas

Dipl.-Kfm. Steffen Haas has over 23 years of experience as a businessman and entrepreneur, most of them in the advertising industry (agency owner with over 100 employees) and as a founder of internet startups such as ED Erfahrung Deutschland.


He is the managing director of ASE and is responsible for strategy, marketing, and sales. He also handles/coordinates requests and assignments involving project management and change management in addition to filling advisory board vacancies.

Hans-Udo Steffen

Hans-Udo Steffen, 35 years of leadership positions in the automotive industry, including tenures as chairman of the executive board at G. Roth GmbH in Frankfurt, chairman of the board of Dunlop GmbH in Hanau, general manager and group vice president at Johnson Controls Europe with responsibility for sales and profit on around €5 billion of revenues as well as global responsibility for the VW Group, BMW, and Porsche accounts.

Matthias Berg

Matthias Berg has over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing and program management, as Executive Vice President Global Sales at Kiekert AG (global market leader locking systems) and as Vice President & General Manager of Johnson Controls for customer business units (BMW, Daimler, General Motors, Hyundai-Kia Europe) with global responsibilities for regions like Russia and Turkey. At Johnson Controls, he was Managing Director Interiors and Member of Advisory-Board Interiors.

Dipl.-Kfm. Reinhard Stammwitz

Dipl.-Kfm. Reinhard Stammwitz, CFO, over 35 years of experience as an executive and director of finance at Levi Strauss & Co, most recently in charge of Germany & North Europe, Finance Manager at US computer manufacturer Wang, head of the central billing/accounting department at AEG-Telefunken, and over seven years of experience in interim management.


He is the chief financial officer of ASE and manages administration, account management, finance, controlling, and IT — including the ASE expert database. He also handles/coordinates requests and assignments involving staffing shortages/filling vacant positions.

Michael Jäger

Michael Jäger worked for 36 years at the GKN Group in managerial positions, from 1988 to 1990 as the manager of Walterscheid GmbH and then as the chair and labor relations director of GKN Automotive AG. From 2000 to 2006, he was president of Northrhein Westphalia’s Verband der Metall- und Elektroindustrie, a metalworking and electronics industry association and vice president of the national organization Gesamtmetall. He is currently the chairman of Arbeitgeber Köln e.V. and vice president of unternehmer nrw.

Dr. Wilfried Janke

Dr. Wilfried Janke - 31 years of leadership roles in the automotive supplier industry as the head of the executive team at Draftex GmbH & CoKG in Viersen, general manager and vice president of Visteon Europa in Kerpen with global responsibility for the BMW, Daimler, and VW Group accounts, chairman of sales and marketing at Honsel AG in Meschede, head of the executive team at Winkelmann Automotive in Ahlen.

David Doster

David Doster – Over 35 years of increasing responsibility in the automotive and auto supplier businesses. Ford Motor Company Chief Engineer and Plant Manager; Visteon Business Unit Vice President. CEO of $500 million automotive parts supplier, and most recently, Interim COO of A123 Systems lithium ion battery company, where he currently chairs the Manufacturing Advisory Board. David has led an independent M&A and business improvement consulting company for over 10 years focused on mid-market automotive suppliers. Mr. Doster is founder and owner of Silver Eagle LLC, a hybrid firm that provides both consulting and interim management services.

Our advisory board stands for scientific consultation, strategy, and quality

Dr. rer. nat. Georg Falkenstein — chairman of the advisory board

Dr. Georg Falkenstein, over 40 years of experience in leadership positions at international enterprises, most recently a partner, executive, and supervisory board member of several automotive suppliers. Previously over 20 years in management positions at BASF and the CEO of a BASF Group company with over €1 billion in revenues. Founder of one of the first recycling companies in Germany.

Prof. Dr. Klaus-J. Schmidt — advisory board

Prof. Dr. Klaus-J. Schmidt (born in 1947) is the owner and founder of IPL Institut für Produktions- und Logistiksysteme - Prof. Schmidt GmbH, which was founded in 1991 in Saarbrücken, Germany.


As the founder of the Institut für Produktions- und Logistiksysteme in Saarbrücken, a researcher and consultant in strategic and implementation projects in the automotive industry, he’s a leading figure with respect to increasing innovation in organizational, production, and development processes.


Prof. Schmidt is a member of several advisory boards for European industrial enterprises, the head of the AKJ Automotive working group and founder of AKJ France, AKJ Hungary, and AKJ Mexico as well as a member of the board at Gesellschaft für Produktionsmanagement GfPM e.V.

Eddy van der Vorst — advisory board

Eddy van der Vorst, currently the CEO of Business Ed-vice; previously over 40 years of work experience in senior management positions at renowned global operating, first-tier automotive system suppliers.

Wolfgang Sczygiol — advisory board

Wolfgang Sczygiol is the chairman of the executive team at BROSE-SEW ELEKTROMOBILITÄTS GmbH & Co.KG. — specialized in the development, production, and marketing of powertrain and charging systems for electric and hybrid vehicles. He was previously managing director at TÜV Rheinland and subsequently spent 16 years at ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik GmbH, where he successfully grew the automotive business into one of the company’s core segments.

Peter Becker — advisory board

Dipl.-Ing. Frank Einhäupl — advisory board

Dipl.-Ing. Frank Einhäupl, most recently spent 11 years at Motorola as the director of development with responsibility for the development quality of digital radio products, previously 8 years in leadership positions at Bosch in the fields of production, planning, and quality management. In-depth knowledge of Q processes, Q costs, Q metrics, digital Six Sigma, SEI-CMM/CMMI, Green Belt, etc.
